Heyward House is a specialty line of Pima cotton infant and children's apparel and bedding featuring the original artwork of Charlotte artist and graphic designer, Blair McDaniel. After the birth of their first child in 2017, Blair's wife, Heyward, was searching for high quality infant wear that was both soft and durable. In a collaboration of the couple's strengths and interests, Heyward House was born.
The Heyward House style is elegant, subtle, delicate, sophisticated and classic. The business and the McDaniel Family are located in Charlotte, NC. They are passionate about both!
The Heyward House Name:
The Heyward House name and logo are reflections of the couple’s love for Heyward’s late grandfather and Blair’s late father.
Heyward’s grandfather, for whom she is named, was renown for his company Heygill Imports, an importing company which he led for nearly 30 years. He later founded Heyward House under Heygill Imports, creating line of exquisite porcelain lamps, many of which can still be found today.
The lamp in the Heyward House logo is embellished with camellias, which was a favorite of Blair’s father’s. The camellia theme surfaces again in apparel and bedding pieces and is a special design the couple chose to honor the love and legacy of Blair’s father.
'Your word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path'.
